  Created by the major players of the industry in 1929, the Fédération Française du Prêt-A-Porter Féminin plays a central role in the developing and defing the future trends of fashion in France. The Federation is today a key player in terms of advertising, sales and helping new designers to set up business. For further informations

Its aims which are clear and precise are as follows:

Represent and defend
The trade's general interests by taking an active part in wage negotiations and in the drafting of any proposition which involves the clothing sector at a French or European level. The Federation is an administrator or a member of various organisations linked to fashion design, including UFIH (Union Française des Industries de l'Habillement).

Develop and support
New talents by helping its members in a range of areas: labour law, commercial law, assistance in the event of litigation, contacts with the press… And also in associating itself with the policies of major cities such as Paris, Lyon and Marseille in order to favour budding young fashion companies and enhance craftsmanship in the fashion industry.

Promote and export
French fashion abroad by organising or participating in missions and trade exhibitions in Europe, in the US and in Asia, by developing a wide range of contacts, and by looking for import agents…For further informations

Exhibit and present
All the new trends of each season by organising the Prêt à Porter Paris trade exhibition, which is internationally renowned, and attracts buyers from all over the world. And also the Atmosphère trade exhibition which is dedicated to more creative brands.

Train and support
Tomorrow's entrepreneurs thanks to Mod'Spe, a specialised institute which was created in 1993, and whose diploma is recognized as a national qualification. The Institute offers a two-year course in marketing, sales management, creating collections and products, in collaboration with various foreign schools.
